I’m in London babies! My dear friend Bas Kosters showed his new collection here at London Fashion Week last saturday. I was lucky to be asked to be a model in his show with many other amazing people, like famous comedian Noel Fielding. So along with a lot of friends from Amsterdam I couldn’t say no to this wonderful opportunity! It didn’t even cloud my happiness when the hairdressers gave me dreads (but I admit I had a little intrinsic struggle with it).

Scary clown with dreads.

Scary clown with dreads.

Bas Kosters’ collection is marked by the words of Frank Sinatra: ‘Dare to wear the fooling clown face’. Bas said in an interview with Fucking Young! that he loves to transform himself and always feels like the clown of the Dutch fashion scene. With this collection he really reveals both the man behind the mask and the mask behind the man. It makes you think about the need to watch other people and how we judge them or use them for our entertainment.

I think he did an amazing job in transferring this massage. I’m so grateful that my first runway job was with Bas and his team. It really made me feel at ease. The music of the show was done by StarStuddedStudios which made it even more comfortable, because they a friends of mine too.
