Rainbows

I’ve been a bit emotional the last couple of days. I even broke down in tears last Friday night. I was at a party when it happened. I panicked because I’m not used to crying. Crying is new for me. I wasn’t able to cry for a decade. Somewhere in my troubled past was a moment where I shut myself down from crying. I’m always a happy and bubbly person. I try to keep that at work, gigs or other social affairs. That’s perfectly fine to do but sometimes I force myself to be that way, even when I don’t feel like it.

My breakdown is learning me to accept that it’s ok to feel sad sometimes. It’s also ok to stand still by that emotion. So, I posted something on Facebook about it last week. The amount of love and sweet words I received brought warmth in my heart.

I also got a warm heart when I heard that every loving couple is able to marry in the United States now. My Facebook timeline is one big colourful rainbow because of it. It makes the following quote perfect:
